A BILL FOR AN ACT ENTITLED: "AN ACT REQUIRING THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION TO DESIGN AND ERECT INFORMATIONAL SIGNS IN MISSOULA COUNTY; APPROPRIATING MONEY TO THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR THE DESIGN AND ERECTION OF THE INFORMATIONAL SIGNS; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE."
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MONTANA:
NEW SECTION. Section 1. Visitor information signs in Missoula County. Subject to the provisions of federal law, the department shall, in consultation with the historical museum at fort Missoula, design and erect at specified locations on the primary and interstate highways in Missoula County signs identifying sites of historical interest within the county.
NEW SECTION. Section 2. Appropriation. There is appropriated from the highways state special revenue account in the state special revenue fund to the department of transportation $20,000 for the biennium beginning July 1, 2001, for the erection of informational signs in Missoula County.
NEW SECTION. Section 3. Codification instruction. [Section 1] is intended to be codified as an integral part of Title 60, chapter 2, part 2, and the provisions of Title 60, chapter 2, part 2, apply to [section 1].
NEW SECTION. Section 4. Effective date. [This act] is effective July 1, 2001.
