A BILL FOR AN ACT ENTITLED: "AN ACT PROVIDING THAT IF A GRIZZLY BEAR IS UNLAWFULLY TAKEN IN A HUNTING DISTRICT, ALL BEAR HUNTING IN THAT DISTRICT WILL BE CLOSED FOR THE SEASON; AND PROVIDING AN IMMEDIATE EFFECTIVE DATE."
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MONTANA:
NEW SECTION. Section 1. Closure of bear hunting upon unlawful taking of grizzly bear. If a grizzly bear is unlawfully taken in any hunting district in this state, the commission shall close the season for all bear hunting in that district for the remainder of the license year.
NEW SECTION. Section 2. Codification instruction. [Section 1] is intended to be codified as an integral part of Title 87, chapter 3, part 3, and the provisions of Title 87, chapter 3, part 3, apply to [section 1].
NEW SECTION. Section 3. Effective date. [This act] is effective on passage and approval.
