A BILL FOR AN ACT ENTITLED: "AN ACT REQUIRING THE INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE OF FENCING AROUND RAILROAD YARDS WHERE REMOTE CONTROL TECHNOLOGY IS USED TO MOVE LOCOMOTIVES."

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MONTANA:

 

     NEW SECTION.  Section 1.  Fencing required where remote control locomotives used. When remote control technology is used in place of an engineer to move a locomotive in a railroad yard, the railroad corporation that owns the yard shall install and maintain fencing around the perimeter of the yard or portion of the yard where the remote control technology is employed.

 

     NEW SECTION.  Section 2.  Codification instruction. [Section 1] is intended to be codified as an integral part of Title 69, chapter 14, part 2, and the provisions of Title 69, chapter 14, part 2, apply to [section 1].
