A BILL FOR AN ACT ENTITLED: "AN ACT REVISING THE SCHOOL BREAKFAST PROGRAM; EXTENDING THE PROGRAM FOR 2 YEARS; PROVIDING STARTUP COSTS FOR SCHOOL DISTRICTS TO ESTABLISH SCHOOL BREAKFAST PROGRAMS; PROVIDING AN APPROPRIATION; AMENDING SECTION 4, CHAPTER 437, LAWS OF 2001; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE."
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MONTANA:
Section 1. Section 4, Chapter 437, Laws of 2001, is amended to read:
"Section 4. Termination. [This act] terminates June 30, 2003 2005."
NEW SECTION. Section 2. Appropriation. There is appropriated $60,000 from the general fund to the office of public instruction for the biennium beginning July 1, 2003, to provide startup costs for school breakfast programs.
NEW SECTION. Section 3. Effective date. [This act] is effective July 1, 2003.
