The daily journal for the Montana House of Representatives is available in Adobe PDF. Adobe PDF is a popular file format, and you can download a free viewer. See the LAWS help file for a link to www.adobe.com to get the free viewer. The filenames identify the date and session day for the journals in the list. The format is: llsscccc.pdf where each of the filename sections carries the following information. The first two characters, "ll", identify the Chamber (Sj = Senate, Hj = House). The next two characters "ss" indicate the number of the legislative day (01 is the first legislative day). The next four characters "cccc" indicate the calendar day, in MMDD format (0106 represents Jan. 6). The ".pdf" is the file extension for Adobe PDF. Journals are edited and proofed before posting. Typically they are given 10 business days after the floor session before they are posted.
