A BILL FOR AN ACT ENTITLED: "AN ACT APPROPRIATING MONEY FOR PREPARATION OF A PROGRAMMATIC ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT STATEMENT ON SAND AND GRAVEL MINING IN FLATHEAD COUNTY; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE."
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MONTANA:
NEW SECTION. Section 1. Appropriation. There is appropriated $50,000 from the general fund to the department of environmental quality for the 2009 biennium to prepare a programmatic environmental impact statement on the impacts of sand and gravel mining in Flathead County.
NEW SECTION. Section 2. Notification to tribal governments. The secretary of state shall send a copy of [this act] to the tribal government of the Confederated Salish and Kootenai tribes.
NEW SECTION. Section 3. Effective date. [This act] is effective July 1, 2007.
