A BILL FOR AN ACT ENTITLED: "AN ACT REQUIRING THAT FUEL PUMPS DISPENSING DYED FUEL BE IDENTIFIED WITH A DECAL; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE."



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MONTANA:



     NEW SECTION.  Section 1.  Marking of dyed diesel fuel pumps. A fuel pump at a retail outlet that dispenses nontaxed dyed special fuel for off-road use must be identified by a decal designed by the department and affixed to each side of the fuel pump so as to be easily identified and read by any person operating the fuel pump.



     NEW SECTION.  Section 2.  Codification instruction. [Section 1] is intended to be codified as an integral part of Title 15, chapter 70, part 3, and the provisions of Title 15, chapter 70, part 3, apply to [section 1].



     NEW SECTION.  Section 3.  Effective date. [This act] is effective July 1, 1999.
