A BILL FOR AN ACT ENTITLED: "AN ACT REQUIRING THAT THE REGIONAL NONPROFIT TOURISM CORPORATION THAT CONTAINS POWDER RIVER COUNTY USE $30,000 A YEAR OF THE LODGING FACILITY USE TAX ALLOCATION THAT IT RECEIVES FOR MAINTAINING AND STAFFING THE VISITOR INFORMATION CENTER AT BROADUS; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE."



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MONTANA:



     NEW SECTION.  Section 1.  Broadus visitor information center -- funding. (1) There is a Montana visitor information center located in the community of Broadus at the junction of U.S. highway 212 and state highway 59.

     (2) Funds in the amount of $30,000 that are received, as provided in 15-65-121(1)(e), by the regional nonprofit tourism corporation containing Powder River County must be used annually by the regional nonprofit tourism corporation to staff and maintain the visitor information center.



     NEW SECTION.  Section 2.  Effective date. [This act] is effective July 1, 1999.
