A BILL FOR AN ACT ENTITLED: "AN ACT APPROPRIATING MONEY TO REPLACE A SHORTFALL IN FUNDING FOR MONTANA'S DISPLACED HOMEMAKER NETWORK; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE."



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MONTANA:



     NEW SECTION.  Section 1.  Appropriation. The following amounts are appropriated from the general fund to the office of commissioner of higher education to replace a shortfall in funding for Montana's displaced homemaker network to train and place Montanans in higher wage occupations:

     FY 2000 FY 2001

Program support     $485,207 $485,207

Administration          48,521 48,521



     NEW SECTION.  Section 2.  Effective date. [This act] is effective June 1, 1999.
